Viewing Format Metadata
We extract all the Format's technical metadata into iconik when you bring a file into iconik. What is presented in the format's metadata depends on the type of file that has been imported, but typically media files are very rich in metadata and will show everything from the codec used, to the bitrate and duration of the streams.
This Metadata is read only.
Viewing format metadata
To find all information about a format for an asset open the files panel then:
- Go to the asset
- Open the files panel
- Right click on the format which you wish to see more information about.
- Select Format Metadata.
- A dialog will open with the format metadata.
