These are the roles that are needed:

Image Viewer

The iconik Image Viewer allows you to have a good preview of the image you are looking at for all supported formats allowing you to properly review the image you are looking at with fine detail.

If the image preview (proxy) has been generated with sufficient size it also enables the following options:

  • Zooming in to 800% of the image and out to 10%.
  • Zooming to actual media size.
  • Fitting image to screen.
  • Panning around when zoomed in.
  • Annotations on the image will scale as needed.

All images are viewable in full screen mode.

Zooming and panning

Images previews that are large enough can be zoomed in the following ways:

  • Select the Zoom tool from the Tools menu, click and drag the player window.
  • Scroll to zoom via mouse wheel or trackpad.
  • Holding the zoom modifier ([Option or Alt]) while clicking and dragging on the player window to zoom in and out.

Panning

When zoomed in a preview will appear in the bottom right, allowing you to pan around the image quickly. An on-screen zoom panel will also be shown, allowing you to quickly adjust zoom levels, and to reset.

You can also pan by using the mouse and holding shift while dragging on the image to move it.

Keyboard Shortcuts

You can use the keyboard with the player. Meta represents the Ctrl key on Windows and Command (⌘) key on Mac.

Annotations

  • [1] - Set annotation tool to brush.
  • [2] - Set annotation tool to arrow.
  • [3] - Set annotation tool to circle.
  • [4] - Set annotation tool to rectangle.
  • [8] - Set annotation tool to laser.
  • [5] - Set annotation tool to line.
  • [7] - Set annotation tool to text.
  • [s] - Set annotation tool to select/move.
  • [Backspace] - Delete selected annotation.
  • [z+Meta] - Undo annotation.
  • [z+Meta+Shift] - Redo annotation.

Other Player features

  • [=] or [+] - Zoom in.
  • [-] - Zoom out.
  • [x] - Flip media in player.
  • [y] - Flop media in player.
  • [f] - Enter full screen mode.
  • [Escape] - Exit full screen mode.
  • [n] - Navigate to previous asset.
  • [m] - Navigate to next asset.
