Re-transcode of assets
Sometimes you will need to request a re-transcode of the web proxy from the original file. This will work with both files that are on storages managed by the iconik Storage Gateway or files that are stored in the cloud.
As transcoding can take sometime, particularly with larger asset the Re-Transcode operation is queued as a job and performed in the background.
Requesting Re-transcode an Asset.
- Go to the asset's page that you wish to export.
- Click on the gearbox.
- Select Re-transcode.
- Your Re-transcode will be queued.
Administrators or users with access to the jobs page will be able to monitor the progress of the transcode.
