Asset Relations

Assets can be related to other assets. These relationships are stored on the asset and shown in the Relations panel on the asset's page.

This panel shows relationships between the current asset and the other asset in the relationship and between the asset and any collection it is a member of.

Asset relationships can have a direction and a description to describe the relationship.

Types of Relations

  • Duplicate - Shows that a asset is a Duplicate of another asset.
  • Parent/Child - A relationship where one asset is the parent to another asset.
  • Product of/Source for - A relationship where one asset has been produced by using another asset.
  • Promo of/Promo for - A relationship where one asset is considered a Promo for another asset.
  • Sibling - A sibling relationship between two or more assets.
  • Used In/Uses - Where one asset uses another - such as a video asset being used in an NLE project.

  • Product of/Source for - When a sequence is rendered and uploaded to iconik using the panel and the Adobe Premiere Pro Project is already stored in iconik we make a relationship between the iconik assets.
  • Used In/Uses - When a Adobe Premiere Pro is uploaded to iconik we make a relationship to all iconik Assets that are used in that project.
